I did a 10k (6.2mile) tempo run on the treadmill two nights ago and it was great. I wanted to do it in 45:00, but I didn't want to push myself too much because I am running a race this weekend so it ended up being done in 46:49. My friend can do a 10k in 42:00 and that is fast. 42 minutes!! I couldn't even come close to that being on a treadmill, needless to say, she is my go-to person for running advice;)
Last night I decided to do a BOSU ball workout that I saw on FitSugar. I typically only use the BOSU ball for doing dumbbell workouts to help strenghten my core. I love FitSugar's site for everything health related. When I saw this workout on their site I knew I had to try it. It was a fairly quick workout and required me to do something very balance focused and I succeeded!

The balancing lunge was the exercise that required so much balance for me, but with a lot of concentration I managed to do all three sets of them! I may have thought something mean about the group of ladies that stood in the way of my mirror while I was doing them ;)
I'm on my way to a yoga class to try and relax before my race tomorrow! It's Friday!
