love these stairs. and love this tower!
I've been meaning to write a post about why I blog, so here it is!
My blog started out a couple of years ago purely as a way to keep in touch with my all-over-the-country family. Most of us had a blog and it was a fun way to keep in touch, then for the most part we kind of fizzled out with the family updates. We'll blame text messaging and Skype;)
Last year I decided to take my blog in a different direction and focus it more on a healthy living blog to help keep me motivated. Sometimes I find it a little hard to stay motivated when people I'm close to (around here) aren't really into running or eating "wierd" food. Even though eating clean and exercising has been my lifestyle for years, it's easy to fall into a slump with getting your butt out there and working out.
1. Motivation/Accountability- Posting my workouts and running really helps to keep me accountable. Reading other fitness blogs really helps me to just get out there and exercise. The biggest help for this would be my Twitter friends, nothing like their fitness updates...
3. Family- Even though my family doesn't post regularly, I still blog for them in a way. I put little tid-bits of our life up here as a way to keep them updated. I would rather post here than on facebook, wierd, right?

explosive fountain downtown (and loved it!)
a blog post wouldn't be complete without Kenny in it. He's always
good for a laugh, even if he's about to get eaten by a lion
4. Writing- I actually enjoy blogging! It's a fun little activity I get to do in the morning while I eat breakfast and drink my coffee.
HAHA! I love this!
Thank you to (you!) my readers and for your encouragement through your comments and the fact that you read my blog! It means a lot to me to have readers that I can connect with. Hopefully you can learn some things through my blog and I hope you enjoy what you read. :)
Why do you blog?
I'm open for suggestions, anything I should change, anything you'd like to see more of?
