weekend recap

What a whirlwind week and weekend! It was probably one of the more eventful weeks of my life with graduation festivities and I can't believe everything is over!

On Saturday night I went to a Gala dinner with my friend Michelle. I just lucked into a ticket because another classmate couldn't make it so she called me. Wahoo! It's a bonus when your good friend is on a few committees in school and can grab you a $125 ticket for $0.

This event has been in the planning for 4 years because the school is a century old and it served as a huge reunion for a lot of people (700-800). I got to see my childhood Dentist and one of my former bosses. I got a big hug and a kiss on the cheek from my old boss. Job? Hire me? Tomorrow I am passing out 50 resumes!

I forgot to take a photo of the spring rolls and slaw,  but you can take my word
that they were very tasty!

a great band with funky instruments. I wanted them to keep on playing for hours.
then they added some fire
lounge for after the dinner
Pretty snazzy, right? We had fun! I'm not gonna lie, two times a week of fancy dinners suits me just fine. Except next time, can I just wear yoga pants??

On Sunday we went to Church and then came home and made a quick lunch of leftovers and then left for a hike along the ocean.
I wore my Merrell's

there is a really deep crevice in front of Nate.
I love this rock face

this is another really deep crevice. It doesn't look deep in the pic, but it is ridiculously deep, I just put my camera over the edge of it and snapped.
some sisters on a hike

I was counting the hike as my excercise for the day, but it quickly got cancelled out by this:
on the way home we all stopped for some famous fish'n'chips. Kenny and I split this dish. You really can't beat locally caught halibut fish. I'd rather a little less batter, but I'm not gonna lie, it was delicious!
On the way home we also stopped in to see these little cute monkeys. They are seriously cute little nephews!
A is charming us while he eats.
can you spot 2 little 2 year olds?

And that wraps up my weekend! It was a pretty good one!
Questions:
What did you do this weekend?
Do you live by the ocean?
Did anyone have a foodie weekend?

    1. Thank you! It really is the worst part, eh? I passed out almost 50 resumes today!! A lot of people aren't hiring, but I have faith something will come up.

  2. All the food from that dinner looks incredible! Yummm.

What a pretty place to hike, I'd love to have somewhere nearby to go to like that. Hiking is one of my favorite things to do but its something I always have to really plan out. Pretty photos!

    1. The food was so good! After all that food my dresses started to get a little snug:/
We are pretty lucky to live right by the ocean and have access to it. I never really get tired of it!
