chocolate pb cheesecake and circuits.

Mornin'! I had an early start today because Kenny had a flight out to Florida this morning so I drove him out to the airport and got to the gym earlier than normal. I just love getting there early and having my workout done with for the day, nice and early!

Today I did another circuit workout, I'm hoping by introducing circuit workouts I'll jump off my fitness plateau I've landed on. The circuit I did included the following exercises:

  • front shoulder raise (15 reps)
  • overhead shoulder raise (15 reps)
  • deadlifts (15 reps)
  • tricep dips (15 reps)
  • plank!! (1 minute)
  • 30 lunges (only once)
  • 15 pushups
After that I did a workout on the stationary bike. It's all about change! ;)

Last night Kenny and I had a little mini date night. Since he's leaving for a few days and he could use a little break from studying (how the times change, eh? This was me just last week!) we took off to our favorite dessert place downtown. Our friends own the shop and they do a magnificent job with making cheesecakes. It is always a really tough decision to pick a piece. I find a whole piece way too rich so we split a chocolate peanut butter piece. It was of course, a great choice.

I apologize to my parents, Rach and Leanne for the following photos. We were all on our way for cheesecake last week when we realized they were closed for a Holiday. Cheesecake was going to be a our big treat for running the half marathon. It was a sad day and Starbucks had to do the trick.

yeah, you should be jealous of our chocolate pb cheesecake! ;)

and just like that. done!
Good news! After passing out almost 50 resumes on Tuesday, I recieved an exciting call last night. I have a working interview next Tuesday!! I talked to the office manager for about an hour last night just chatting so I felt good about that and I felt like we had a good rapport when I was chatting to her in the office. This would be such a perfect job: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday starting off and then Fridays added in the fall, 8-4/6. It is literally a 5-minute drive from here and our new house! The funny thing is, I don't even really feel nervous about my interview. Maybe I will closer to next week, but I am so excited right now. Wahhoooo!!! I need to start making some $$ to pay off some student loans!

Questions:
What's your favorite type of dessert?
anything with chocolate and peanut butter and I'm in. Especially ice cream!
Do interviews make you nervous?
Whad do you do for circuit workouts?
I'm new to them, so I'm open for advice!

  1. Holy cannoli. That looks incredible! I want it for breakfast, right now. Haha.

I like getting my workouts out of the way first thing, too. I find it gives me more energy for the rest of the day - and then I don't have to try and squeeze it into my schedule later on!
