canon death and protein muffins

I remember it well, The last Monday night of clinical. My brand new camera was being passed from the Dental student to my friend across the cubicle and it happened. It crashed to the floor. No big deal though right? Everyone drops their camera from time to time. Well, the lens on this was completely bent:( Kenny's dad (who is really good with techy stuff) took it for me and tried to fix it. He fixed the lens, but the camera still doesn't register that the lens is fixed. Booo!

I was so excited to have a camera that took crisp photos for my personal life (especially for my upcoming graduation festivities) and for my blog, too! I always get so turned off when people use cell phone pictures as a regular on their blog. Crisp photos just look so nice and clean. I apologize for my iphone 3GS (aka old) pictures, I realize that they are quite grainy. When I use Kenny's newer iphone the quality is 10x better!

So what I'm saying is bear with me through my grainy photos and also through my sad little header that I am working on changing:) It will get better around here ;) Especially when I steal my sister and my mom's  top of the line cameras when they're home in 2 weeks;) HeeHeeHee.

Now that I've said all that I want to share a recipe with you. Again, look past the grainage (is that even a word?) of the photo.
Protein Muffin
PB2 Protein Muffin:     STUFT Mama's (adapted from her recipe)

  • 1/2 mashed banana
  • 2 tbsp of flour
  • 1 tsp PB2 or peanut butter
  • 1 tsp of cocoa powder
  • ~1/8 -1/4 cup of almond milk (use your judgment)
  • dash of baking powder
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 scoop of protein powder
  • tsp of sugar/sweetener (optional)
Mix all the ingredients and put them in a greased (microwavable!) mug or bowl for about 5 minutes. Keep checking it to make sure it isn't overflowing! Place it on a plate and eat it like a muffin with some butter, peanut butter or whatever you like!

Questions:
Do you ever use PB2 when you're cooking?
the company sent me this to try and I think it's great!
What kind of camera do you use, since I'm in the market again?

  1. I have two cameras. A Nikon D80, which is my nice one that takes really amazing pictures and my point and shoot Canon Powershot which is pretty nice for only costing $150. I should probably learn how to use my DSLR though so I could take even better pics!!! :-)

    1. I really like canons, I recently sold my Rebel because it was getting a little old. It took amazing pictures, I'm tempted to get another one (even thought it's always on auto mode-haha!)

    1. thanks for letting me know about the camera. I do really like Canon's and $200 or less is what I'm looking at.

I haven't seen it in stores around here and I've seen that other people have ordered it online.
